Vosges Bars: Woolloomooloo

What’s in a name? Sometimes, the answer is “Eight Os.” Such as when the question is being asked of this bar, the Woolloomooloo bar.

I don’t usually get too caught up on chocolate names, but when more than two thirds of the letters in the name are Os, it seems worth noting. Also worth noting is that this bar includes a lot of diverse additions, ranging from macadamia nuts to coconut flakes to hemp seeds.

Apparently, this bar advises to not judge a book by its cover. Perhaps that is because the bar looks quite smooth but has numerous crunchy components mixed inside. Now regarding one of those crunchy mix-ins, I have to be honest. I have no idea what hemp seeds taste like, so I can’t speak to whether or not the taste came through, but the crunch was pretty evident. There was also some extra crunch from the toasted coconut, though the taste of the coconut wasn’t very apparent. Of course, the macadamia nuts gave this bar even more crunch, and also added a salty taste. The signature Vosges creamy milk chocolate blends all this crunch together, and the result is a nice sweet, creamy bar with a crunchy kick that I look forward to picking again the next time I get to a Vosges boutique.
